Restoration of Stedcombe House, Dorset
Description of Work
This unique project involved the total restoration of Stedcombe House which had been left to
ruin during the 1980’s.
Originally built in 1697 by the Hallett family being sold to a Samuel Saunders Stephens during
1889. The Stephens family remained in ownership until 1960 following which the Estate was
broken up eventually being vacated and left to decay.
